This is my 2nd review. My apologies to my 1st. Stand corrected, it is indeed transition clear. Maybe I’m too used to Photichromatic 2. This transition does darken. But it takes a lot of time and really lots of direct sunlight. Don’t expect anything like photochromatic 2 Black sort of effect. Otherwise, this lens is a gift to athletes who needs clear to dark lens with prescription and Readers lens incorporated. It be even better if photochromatic 2 be introduce to this readers range of lenses.

It is important to understand the two technologies here. Impactx lenses are polyurethane which is completely different manufacturing to sports readers using polycarbonate. We cannot put sports reader lenses into polyurethane lenses. BUT we can manufacture complete RX lenses with polyurethane although the cost is a lot lot more expensive.
Sports Readers are a simple and cheap entry into RX lenses.
